The New World

On August 14th of 2008, I went to an Idaho Press Club meeting. The main theme was Internet's Impact on Television. There were three people on the panel, and each of these people had some pretty interesting points with how times are changing. There were some statistics given, rating numbers given, and how soon the paper format of media information will soon be obsolete.
The one question I wanted to know was, "What about the jobs in this field?" What I was told was that people in the media field needs to know more than just one particular area. I should emphasis on one main point, like journalism, but I need to learn about film, the technical parts, photography, so all aspects in communication.
The internet is change. Hopefully we can all keep up.
